ABOUT

The Aggie Cinema Project is an organization created for Aggies interested in film and the film industry. This organization is a community that encourages students to pursue their production-related passions (including screenwriting, directing, set design, acting, sound production, and beyond), form connections/collaborate with other creatives, and work to develop and hone technical and narrative skills. 

 

Whether or not a career in this realm is your ultimate goal, this organization is a great place for taking part in creative projects, exploring the nuances of visual storytelling, and sharing your love of cinema with fellow TAMU students.

 

All levels and areas of experience are welcome!!

Importance of Diversity

 

Now more than ever, there is a demand for diversity in film, both in front of and behind the camera. With this in mind, the Aggie Cinema Project was also created to be an environment within which students can develop an understanding of the need for change within the industry, as well as collaborate towards the creation of work that highlights a diversity of background, thought, experience, and perspective. 

 

​​Each semester, we hope to gain insight from a diverse collection of professionals that encourage students to responsibly challenge stigmas, break stereotypes, and amplify marginalized voices. ​
